Rising Stone began in central Vermont in 2003 with a devotion to quality stonework. The company's co-owners, Eric Potter and Dave Mullany, each began apprenticing with a master stonemason at sixteen years of age and together have more than 30 years experience. Their business grew from a shared respect for the traditional style of New England dry stonewalls and a passion for modern design. Rising Stone's impeccable work stretches up and down the East Coast, Tri-State and Metropolitan area, from a grand fireplace in a hunting lodge in South Carolina to a boat launch on Lake Champlain. Rising Stone works closely with their clients to design/build dream urban and suburban outdoor spaces. Eric now splits his time between Vermont and Abu Dahbi where he is studying Civil Engineering and taking care of his new daughter and son. Dave divides his time between Italy Vermont and New York City. He is fluent in Italian and has recently worked on the marble facade of the Museo Del Novecento contemporary art museum in Milan, Italy. He also recently completed the design and construction of a sculpture fountain in Greenwich, CT. Rising Stone Construction's projects now range from civil engineering landscape design and construction to art and furniture.
